DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program (DC Tag) - The DC Tuition Assistance Grant (DC TAG) is a grant that allows you to attend any public institution in the nation as if you're a resident of the school's state. You pay the low in-state tuition and the grant pays the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition up to $10,000 a year. With a maximum of 5 award years that can amount to a lifetime of $50,000, this grant makes affordable college tuition a reality.
DC Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (DC LEAP) - Need-based grant offered to D.C. residents for education or training beyond the high school level. DC LEAP is funded through matching funds by the District of Columbia and the Federal government.
Tuition Assistance Program Initiative for TANF (TAPIT) - The SEO administers a scholarship program to assist Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) customers to pursue post-secondary degree or certificate programs offered by accredited institutions in the District of Columbia metropolitan area, thereby increasing opportunities for employment with career advancement potential. Recipients who have been accepted in the program can receive awards of up to $4,000 that will cover tuition, mandatory fees and books for half, three quarters or full time attendance.
