Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant Program - Awards grants to Oklahoma students who need money to meet part of the cost of attending college. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Academic Scholars Program - Awards scholarships to students with high academic performance who plan to attend an Oklahoma public or private college or university. Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Program - Awards scholarships to students in families earning less than $50,000 per year who have demonstrated a commitment to academic success in high school. Students who plan to participate in this scholarship program must enroll in the program in the eighth, ninth or 10th grade. Regional University Baccalaureate Scholarship - Awards scholarships based on academic merit to Oklahoma residents who plan to attend an Oklahoma regional university. Robert C. Byrd Scholarship Program - Awards scholarships to Oklahoma students who plan to attend an Oklahoma college or university based on their potential for continued academic excellence and achievement. Future Teachers Scholarship Program - Awards scholarships to outstanding Oklahoma students who want to teach in the areas of special education, science, foreign language, math and English. George and Donna Nigh Public Service Scholarship - (Note: Program has been suspended) Awards scholarships to outstanding students who are preparing for careers in public service. Heartland Scholarship Fund - Awards scholarships to dependent children of victims of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. These awards cover the cost of tuition, fees, special fees, books, and room and board. Independent Living Act (Department of Human Services Tuition Waiver) - Awards tuition waivers to eligible individuals who have been or are in the Oklahoma Department of Human Services foster care program. National Guard Tuition Waiver - Awards scholarships to national guard members and enlistees who want to earn a bachelor's degree at an Oklahoma public college or university. Oklahoma Teacher Enhancement Program - Awards stipends to resident teachers who participate in a study designed to evaluate teacher preparation programs at Oklahoma's public universities. Smart Start for Brain Gain 2010 - Statewide Americorps program that recruits, trains and places mentors and tutors in Oklahoma schools and communities. Smart Start members can earn Education Awards that can be applied to current or future college costs or to repay qualified student loans. SREB Academic Common Market - An arrangement among Southern states allowing students to pay in-state tuition rates at a non-Oklahoma college or university while studying in select programs not available at Oklahoma public institutions. Teacher Shortage Employment Incentive Program (TSEIP) - TSEIP is a legislative program that reimburses eligible student loan expenses or pays an equivalent cash benefit to individuals who graduate from an Oklahoma accredited teacher education program, receive teaching certification in math or science and agree to teach in an Oklahoma public secondary school for at least five years.
