Hawaii Financial Aid

For more information on any of the below programs, please visit the your local financial aid office.

 

Hawaii Student Incentive Grant (HSIG) - for bona fide residents of Hawaii and based on exceptional financial need and availability. Currently known as the Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP) Program.

 

Tuition Waivers - for bona fide residents of Hawaii and based on exceptional financial need and availability. Waivers cover tuition only; students are responsible for any fee/additional tuition payments.

State Higher Education Loan - A low interest loan (5 percent) awarded to undergraduates and graduates who are bona fide residents of Hawaii and are based on exceptional financial need and availability of funds. Aggregate limits are: $20,000 for undergraduates who have completed 2 years of undergraduate work leading to a bachelor's degree; $40,000 for graduates (including undergraduate loan amounts); and $80,000 for all other students. A promissory note must be signed before the loan can be processed.
